As a series of the 58th Anniversary of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology UGM, The Gait of UGM Postgraduate Alumni event was held. The event was held on September 9, 2021, through the Zoom Meeting. The event is one of the parts of welcoming the new postgraduate students. One of the speakers was an alumnus of the Master of Agroindustrial Technology, Dr. Mulyana Hadipernata, S.T.P., M.Sc. from the Center for Agricultural Post-Harvest Research and Development. Dr. Mulyana Hadipernata, S.T.P., M.Sc., served as head of the Rice Quality Laboratory and Serelia Postharvest, a national reference laboratory for rice quality testing. He said that the work was relevant to his experience while doing his research at UGM.

World Environment Day is celebrated every June 5th, and this year the theme is “Ecosystem Restoration.” During the CoVID-19 pandemic, the environment is taking a break due to limited human activities ranging from transportation, production, and activities to support daily life. However, efforts to improve the environment must still be carried out continuously and sustainably.
On Saturday, June 5th, 2021, from 09.00 to 11.00 a.m, a Life Cycle Assessment webinar was held through the Zoom Meeting with the theme “Know the Impact of Your Products on the Environment”. The event was attended by more than 90 participants from various institutions, ranging from public and private universities, research institutes, government institutions, state-owned enterprises, and the private sector. The speech was delivered by Prof. Siti Malkhamah (Dean of the UGM Graduate School) and Dr. Didik Purwadi (Chairman of the Department of Agricultural Industrial Technology UGM). On Wednesday, May 19th, 2021, the Virtual Open House for the Master Program in Agro-Industrial Technology 2021 was held online through a Zoom Meeting with the theme “Knowing more about the UGM TIP Masters.” Twenty-three participants attended the event. The student congress held in Berlin, 6-7th November 2018 and organized by Der Grune Punk, German Packaging Intitute and partnership with DIN (Deutches Institut fur Normung), German Institute for Strandarization. It was the second student congress that they held with this theme. The aim of this congress is to regularly convene students of packaging technology and practitioners from all areas of the value added chain. For this year, the topic of the seminar is about “Making Packaging Future Proof – Closing the Loop”. This congress did some discussions, workshops and presentations that focus on future issues, trends and best practice in packaging design.
